As far as furniture is concerned, the Mazzitelli Studio prefers the clean 'architectural' lines of Italian rationalism but also the less severe French
and English designs of the 30s. We have also found room for furniture from
the 50s.
Whatever the style of the period was its common denominator was furniture to 'contain' - tables, side-tables, trolleys, chairs, armchairs and sofas - as they were all in proportion and functional. Every object had to be practical and capable of being adapted to every kind of home.
The coverings are mostly in velvet and chenille of the period, but in
neutral or natural tones, or in more modern materials which emphasise the
line of the furniture.
