The Mazzitelli Studio has from the beginning concentrated on this section through continuing research throughout Europe and, above all, in America.
Lighting is the focal point of departure for all interior design.
It is the element which divides spaces without which interiors would not
come to life.
It is to American culture that we owe the idea of standard and table lamps and to it the idea of spaces lit by often lower intensity points of light.
American taste during the period of the Great Depression during the 40s and 50s re-interpreted the use of lighting with greater freedom and imagination,
also in the materials used. With its innate sense of 'large scale' it
created lamps which became truly works of art.
